Moving Scheffelera - Knowledgebase Question

Winter Park, Fl

I had a five-foot Scheffelera in my living room. I decided to plant it out by my back door patio. It now is past the roof and 15-20 feet tall! Has a beautiful trunk and is expanding. I fear this will ruin my foundation and want to move it. Is it transplantable? It's beautiful and don't want to kill it.

Yes, you can dig and move it. Try to get as much of the roots as is practical. Water it in well in its new location and provide a little shade cloth over the plant if you can for a few weeks post planting to help it with the adjustment.
