I planted tulip bulbs in the fall, I don't see any signs of them coming up. Am I too anxious? |
Not at all. Considering the spring you've had in the East, they should be up and almost flowering by now! If you see other tulips in other yards up, yours should be too. A few things may have gone wrong. You planted the bulbs too deep (6-8 inches is plenty, rodents such as voles or chipmunks ate them, or you got a batch of dried up bulbs that weren't viable to begin with. You can dig around where you planted and try to see if there is any signs of green. Even consider digging up a bulb to check if they are okay. |
