|I have several peace lilies due to the death of my mother nine months ago. They are dying and I don't know why. I have used miracle grow plant soil and miracle grow plant food according to the directions. They are sitting in front of a patio door which gives moderate light. I am watering sparingly, because the over watering is usually my fault. I am feeding them bi-weekly. With all of this they are rotting at the roots even though the leaves are drooping. HELP!!!|
It sounds like you have provided the plants good care, and that they are in a good setting for them to stay strong. I suspect if any thing is wrong the extra fertilizing and perhaps a little to soggy of soil conditions are at fault, but this is just a best guess. You might try repotting them and cut away any rotting roots in the process. Then replant in fresh moist soil and don't water until the soil is slightly dry to the touch an inch or two deep.
