It's near the 1st of October here -- I live just outside of Dallas TX and the days are still pretty warm though the nights are beginning to cool off. Is it too late to plant a fall garden: What kinds of vegetables should I plant this time of year? I love lettuces and tomatoes and herbs.

Joey,
No it is not too late. You can still plant broccoli, cabbage, kale and collards as well as lettuce, spinach and other cool season green such as arugula and cress. Turnips, onions, radishes and carrots can still go in too. Wait until spring to plant tomatoes but you can plant perennial herb transplants now.
