Are there any fall vegetable/ herb plants that can be planted in pots and dont require much sun. and if yes what is the best time to plant them.
|While it's true that most herbs grow best in shade, some will grow and actually thrive under shady conditions. Consider growing chives, parsley, Wild ginger (Asarum canadense), Sweet woodruff (Galium odoratum), Holy grass (Hierochloe odorata), Mioga ginger (Zingiber mioga), Angelica (Angelica archangelica), American pennyroyal (Hedeoma pulegioides), Chervil (Anthriscus cerefolium), Japanese wild parsley (Cryptotaenia japonica Mitsuba), Stone mint (Cunila origanoides), Musk geranium (Geranium macrorhizum), and Corsican mint (Mentha requienii). Leafy vegetables such as lettuces, spinach, and kale can all be grown in the shade. Now's a good time to plant them.
Best wishes with your garden!
