Fruit trees should be pruned in late winter or early spring before new growth begins. I prune mine in January or February while they are dormant. Then when the weather warms, they're all ready to grow. If you prune them now you'll encourage new growth which will not have time to harden off before winter weather arrives. Wait until January or February to prune your fruit trees.

Best wishes with your landscape!
