I have some dwarf Zebra Grass in the front yard that have gotten way bigger that I had anticipated - can you divide the grass and replant the halves elsewhere?

Miscanthus sinensis 'Strictus', or zebra grass, can be easily divided and replanted. This is typically done in the spring but if you live in a mild winter gardening region, you can do it in the fall. If your winter weather is severe (zones 1-4) I'd wait until spring to dig and divide. Otherwise, you can do it now. You may find the roots have become woody. If so, use a shovel, an axe or a saw to cut through the mass. (I've actually used an axe to divide mine!)

Best wishes with the move!
