I purchased a group of coral bells at HD last month but have not had the time to plant them. I finally have a weekend off and was wondering if it is too late to plant them now or do I need to overwinter them in the garage (temp is never below 40 derees) and plant them in the spring?

I'd plant them now and mulch over the soil with some organic matter. The tops of the plants will die this winter but the roots should be fine and if planted in the ground, they will sprout new stems and foliage earlier in the spring than if they remained in the nursery containers.

Best wishes with your landscape!
