I bought a blue potato bush a few years ago. It bloomed the first year and has not bloomed since. What can I do? Thanks, Wanda

Blue potato bushes bloom best in full sunshine and high heat. If your plant isn't getting all day sunshine, try moving it to a sunnier spot. If the summer weather is cool rather than hot, you might be able to coax it to bloom by planting it near a wall or fence where heat is reflected. A final suggestion - these plants bloom on new growth so pruning it the early summer will encourage new flowering growth.
