I have started a number of plants from seed and I can't seem to get the Astilbe to germinate. |
Astilbe are touchy to start from seed. These woodland perennials prefer diffused rather than bright light, and 65F. Since they are prone to damping off, seedlings require good surface drainage. Seeds should be sown on the surface of vermiculite, and watered from below to reduce the chances of damping off. |
