|if i bring annuals in during the fall will they still grow and survive another year?|
|The answer really depends upon the specific annuals you are growing. A general definition of annual means that a plant will grow, flower, set seeds and die. If you keep the spent flowers from remaining on the plant long enough to set seeds, you can keep the annual productive for an extended length of time. The key is to pinch or cut off the faded flowers to keep the plant from setting seeds. Some other annuals will die after a certain length of time. It will grow and then it will die regardless of whether you keep the old flowers pinched off. So, if you have some favorite annuals you want to try to keep, go ahead and pot them up to grow inside. Just keep them in bright light and be sure to pinch off the faded flowers.|
Best wishes with your plants!
