Why wouldn't there be any worms in the soil of my organic garden? |
Earthworms should be in abundant supply in garden soil with adequate moisture and organic matter. They often go deep into the soil when the temperatures are cold - perhaps they're still hiding out, waiting for spring to arrive. Or, they may be very small this early in the year and are escaping detection. Wait a few more weeks and then take inventory again - I'll bet you'll find a number of them in your garden. |
