|My Zamioculcas Zamiifolia has a few stalks that are rippled instead of smooth. I know this plant does not require a lot of water and sometime I think that's telling me to water it. When I do the leaves turn yellow so I know I shouldn't have. Are the rippled stalks just a characteristic of the plant or is there something wrong with it.|
|Your ZZ plant is an easy low-light, low-water houseplant. The rippled stalks indicate that the cultural conditions aren't quite right or that you are overwatering or have overfertilized. I'd allow the soil to dry out between waterings and keep the plant out of bright light. It should settle down and grow well for you if you. These plants seem to thrive on neglect so try not to give it too much TLC.
Best wishes with your Zamioculcas!
