I have a feeling my knockout roses should have been pruned before the cold weather set in. Can they be pruned back anytime, or should I wait until the weather warms up? I would appreciate any pruning tips you might offer such as how far back should they be pruned. |
Actually, late winter or early spring are good times to prune knockout roses. You can prune them down by about one third now. If they are still too large, prune them again later this summer. Annual pruning will keep your roses within bounds and encourage lots of flowers. Best wishes with your roses! |
