|What is the detriment of the pill bug deep in my soil, and on top? I am worried that they are munching on the root structure of my perennials and shrubbery. Is this a problem, if so, how can I get them under control!
|Pill bugs, or sow bugs, traditionally feed on decaying and decomposing organic matter. As such, they're considered beneficial in gardens, and no control measures are necessary. Sometimes they munch on living material, but generally they behave themselves and help keep balance in the garden. Just leave them alone and they'll continue to help keep your soil alive and full of beneficial activity.|
