I have Bernuda grass, and in a previous response to my question. I have purchased Halts--can I use it now on my Bermuda grass. You also mentioned that I should make sure it is dormant to avoid injury. Please explain that to me. What does dormant mean?

Thank you so much for your help.

Bermuda grass thrives during the hot weather but slows or stops its growth during the cooler winter months. When that happens, we call it dormant. It is not actively growing and therefore is not as susceptible to herbicide injury. Read the Halts label. I believe you can apply it now (in February) without burning your bermuda grass.
