The first frost of the season is around November 15 and the last is about April 15. So, from April to November you can have something edible growing in your garden. Choose cool season or short season types of tomatoes and small summer squash, along with lettuces, cabbage, carrots, onions, beets, potatoes, rhubarb, beans, radishes, and peas. About the only things not very successful are watermelon, pumpkins, and sweet potatoes. Tree fruits (apples, plums, pears) and bush fruits (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and kiwi) are successful in Everett gardens, as well. Enjoy your edible garden!
