In general, tomatoes thrive in warm weather, full sunshine, ample water and adequate nutrition. Some plants produce more fruits than others, due to their genetic makeup. Others will stop producing when temperatures get too hot or too cold. The best advice is to purchase the varieties that grow best in your region, such as Legend, Manitoba, Polar Baby, Polar Star, Polar Beauty, Red Rocket or Siberian, all short season varieties. They will have plenty of time to grow and produce during your summer weather. Enjoy!
