I moved into my home recently and I ripped up the dead bushes infront of my home. This area never gets direct sunlight, there seems to be full shade off of my garage. I need help figuring out which plants and flowers will work in this area. Please help!

Some of the best shrubs for shady areas in Florida include:

bottlebrush buckeye, pipestem, serviceberry, coralberry, pawpaw, Japanese aucuba, sweetshrub, camellia, Japanese plum yew, sweet pepperbush, winged euonymus, American strawberry-bush, wintercreeper, fatshedera, fatsia, witch-alder, gardenia, blue huckleberry, witchhazel, French hydrangea, oakleaf hydrangea, Aaron's beard, Florida anise, yellow anise, sweetspire, and jacobinia. Viburnums, podocarpus, azalea, mayberry and heavenly bamboo also do well in the shade. Best wishes with your garden!
