WHEN DO YOU PLANT ROSES

Roses can be planted any time. Most are purchased bareroot in January or February and can be planted then - as long as the ground is not frozen. Or, you can plant in March. Once the plants have leafed out you can still plant, but you will want to take extra care because actively growing plants can suffer from transplant shock. Be sure to water your new roses in well after planting to help settle the soil around the roots. Best wishes with your new roses!
