i brought a camilia not long ago about 3 wks. my question is can camilias be planted in a very large pot or must they be planted in the ground?

You can plant your camellia in a large pot and it will be happy for many years. Depending upon its mature size, you may be able to keep it in a large container indefinitely. Enjoy your camellia!
