What makes evergreen plants start turning a shade of yellow ?
And what can prevent or
fix this problem ?

It is difficult for me to determine just why your evergreens have a yellowish cast. It could be that they need feeding or it might be that the soil remains too wet, which stresses the roots and causes the off-color. Dig down into the soil to check the moisture level a day or two after watering. If it seems overly wet, you may need to correct your watering practices. You can try feeding your plants with an 8-8-8 or other fertilizer formulated for evergreens. If they are lacking nutrients, the fertilizer will green them up in a few short weeks.
