I have Bermuda but would like to change to Fescue/Kentucky mix. Where do I begin? |
Begin by raking out as much of the bermuda as you can. Once you have done that, you can overseed your bermuda now, then overseed again in the fall. By next spring you should be able to apply a pre-emergent herbicide to your fescue/bluegrass lawn to keep the remaining bermuda from sprouting and growing. All this summer, mow the fescue/bluegrass high. This will help shade out any remaining bermuda. It will take a while but you can make the transition eventually. |
