I just purchased a rose tree. It is too early to plant it and the bottom is wrapped in a plactic cover. It is from Jackson & Perkins and I bought it from Cosco. What would you recommend I do with it until I can safely plant it. Or do you think I could plant it now. I live in Glen Burnie, MD 21061. Thank you, Carolyn |
You have a bare root rose and you can plant it now. Bare root roses are typically planted during their dormant season - anytime between December and April. If your weather is still getting frosty, wrap the graft (the swelling on the main stem, just below the branches) to protect it from a late freeze. Best wishes with your new rose tree! |
