The freeze that we experienced this past Feb damaged my firebush. So far, there are no new shoots. Will it grow again this summer or shall I take it out and get a new one?

Firebush, or Hamelia patens, is a Florida native and not at all tolerant of frosty weather. However, the roots may have been protected from the freeze and it is still possible that they are alive. At this point I would simply cut away the obviously dead above ground parts and wait a few more weeks to see if the firebush roots will send up new shoots. If nothing appears within the next 3-4 weeks, it probably won't and will need to be replaced. But, there's always hope!
