I have an invasive vine grouwing around my tree in the backyard. i have used roundup and thought i had exceeded in killing it. However it won't go away. Short of me pouring gasoline on it and setting it on fire, what else could I do?

Without knowing what the vine is, I can't recommend any vegetation killer, especially when it is in close proximity to a tree you want to preserve. Digging is always an option, but sometimes simply cutting the vines just above ground level and painting glyphosate (RoundUp) on the fresh cuts will do the job. Try to have the vine identified - there may be something else out there that will work especially on it. Good luck with your project!
