i recenly asked you about my tree in direct sunlight and you said to replant in morning sin only. but it has been planted for 2 yrs. will it hurt to move it now?

It won't hurt to dig and move your Japanese maple but I would wait until this winter or very early spring when it is dormant. That way it will suffer less transplant shock. If yours has not yet leafed out, you can move it now, but I suspect it has already started its seasonal growth. The alternative to moving the tree is to erect a trellis on the sunny side of the tree to help shade it. A decorative trellis can be a focal point in a garden or you can disguise it by planting a vine to climb up the trellis. Best wishes with your garden!
