I am new at gardening and am trying to start a garden for the frontyard. I am not sure where to start. I can not decide if to use bricks/stones or the cement curb. Do I need to decide this before starting? Then what is my next step?

Not all garden beds need to be bordered so you can decide later if you want to put something in to set it off or if you simply want to install plastic or wooden bender board to keep your lawn from encroaching. Before you plant, amend the soil with some organic matter such as compost to make the soil loose and well draining. Your plants will appreciate your efforts. Choose plants you like that will grow in the exposure to sunshine your flower bed gets. You will find that information on the plant tags, along with the mature size of the plant. Be sure to space your new plants so they have ample room to grow plus a little extra space for good air circulation. Best wishes with your new garden!
