I have put lime in my soil with tomatoes and they have grown beautifully. Are there any other veggies that would benefit from adding lime to the soil before and after planting?
|Vegetables produce the best crops at soil pH between 6.0-7.0. I suspect the lime you added to your garden changed the pH to one the tomato plants like. I wouldn't add more lime until having a soil test done to see exactly what the pH is. But, as a rule, all veggies like a neutral soil; one in the range of 7.0|
