I currently have annual rye grass growing. It needs both fertilizer and weed control. What can I use without damaging the rye grass?? Thanks.

Annual ryegrass is a cool season grass and will die out in late spring or early summer when temperatures remain warm. It is usually used as a winter season grass to keep the turf green after warm season grasses go dormant. In your gardening region annual rye is typically overseeded onto bermuda or St. Augustine grass in October so it can keep the turf green until about April. At that time the rye will die down and the warm season grass will green up. There's nothing you need to do to annual rye in terms of fertilizer or weed control.
