| One of the most vigorous growing, spring flowering groundcovers for a sunny area is Ajuga (Carpet Bugle). You might also consider Carpobrotus (Ice Plant), Euonymus fortunei (Winter Creeper), Lysimachia nummularia, and Pink Panda (Fragaria). Gazania is a spectacular flowering plant, as is Hawkeye (Orange-flowered dandelion-looking plant). Be sure to prepare the soil by adding some organic matter, and keep your new plants watered this summer so they'll grow thick and lush. |
