I have a large wooden playset in my back yard. I put where there was no sod. I placed weed blocke sheets down and put sand and then gravel on top of the weed block. Now it is full of weeds that I can't control. How do I get rid of the weeds?

Digging the weeds is probably the best approach considering they are near a child's play area. Weed block should keep weeds from growing but if it gets battered by being stepped on, sunlight can penetrate and encourage weeds to grow. If the weed block is still in good condition, the weed roots should not be able to penetrate into the soil and the weeds should be easy to pull because their roots will be in sand and gravel. If this is not the case, I think I would remove the mulch and weed block, sprinkle some pre emergent pellets (such as Preen) over the bare soil and reinstall some new weed block material. The pre emergent will keep weed seeds from growing. Good luck with your project!
