You will want to drive four sturdy stakes into the ground and then attach the legs of the arbor to the stakes using screws. Drive the stakes at least 6-8 inches into the ground so the arbor will be sturdy enough when the clematis grows to the top and becomes heavy. You can use an arbor most anywhere in your garden but they are generally found at the entrance to a garden or over a sidewalk. Just put the arbor where it looks the best to you and you'll enjoy your yard for many years to come.
