I purchased an apple tree at Home Depot today that didn't have care or information about it and was told to ask you online to get that info because the store didn't have it. The tree is called Apple 'Northpole' and can be grown in a container because of its upright habit. The SKU is 159735 and is 16 inch 5.6 gal./21.3L. It also says Columnar Apple Tree.

North Pole columnar apple is a crisp, juicy McIntosh type ripening in late September. Columnar apple trees are perfect for patios, decks or other small areas. Mature trees grow with no branches and reach 7-9' tall. They are loaded with fruit which forms along the main trunk or on short, spur-like branches. Columnar trees can be planted in whiskey barrels or planted two feet apart in the ground. Your new tree will need a second apple tree in order to set fruit. Golden Sentinel is another columnar tree and is a good choice for cross pollination. As with all fruit trees, plant in full sunshine. Best wishes with your new tree!
