|I know that on a rocky piece of property, if you remove a rock, another is right below it so removing the rocks probably isn't an option but you can collect those that are on the surface and use them as accents in the garden. If the soil is extremely hard and rocky you may just want to identify a few areas where you'd like colorful flower beds and have some topsoil brought in. You can make mounds or islands with the topsoil and plant in those spots. There are lots of books on landscape design at your local library or you can visit your neighbors to see what they have done in terms of design. You'll eventually come up with some ideas to incorporate into your own landscape. Enjoy!
