Plants arriving too soon - Knowledgebase Question

I ordered several new perennial plants online and they are shipping them now (bareroot). Our last frost date isn't until mid-May. How do I care for them before it is time for them to go into the garden?

Bare root plants can go into the garden prior to your last frost. In fact, it's the best place for them. If you try to store the plants they may wake up from their dormancy and then become stressed when planted outdoors. Go ahead and plant them when they arrive. They should be fine.
