how do I prepare the acidic soil for large flowers on my hydrangers? |
The soils in your gardening region tend to be on the acidic side so you won't need to add much of anything at all. Simply place a 2-3 inch mulch of compost or peat moss around the base of the plant to help suppress weeds and slow water evaporation. You can feed with Miracid or another acidified fertilizer. Best wishes with your hydrangea. |
