Your peach tree is balled in burlap (or cloth) surrounding the roots. Remove the wrapper plus whatever is being used to hold it onto the trunk. Then dig a hole deep enough to accommodate the root system and just a little wider. Then place a cone of soil at the bottom of the planting hole and drape the roots over the soil so they fall in a natural way. The finished soil level should be the same as it was wrapped so look on the trunk to see where the original soil mark is and make sure to set it so that it is neither too deep nor too shallow. Fill in around the roots with the soil your removed from the planting hole and tamp it down, then water well to help settle the soil. Best wishes with your new tree.
