Your ravenea majesty palm is probably going through a little transplant shock. The full sunshine might be more than it was experiencing in the garden center and is causing sunscald. As new foliage develops it will be more sun tolerant. And, once the roots become established in their new home, the plant should perk right up. These plants need lots of water so make sure you water deeply once a week. Don't feed your palm until you see new growth. Best wishes with your new palm!
