Tulips I planted last fall were coming up nicely and the rabbits got to them yesterday! They seem to leave the daffodils alone. What bulbs don't attract rabbits and how about spring planted perennials that rabbits seem to ignore? Your suggestions? |
Rabbits aren't all that picky when it comes to eating plants, especially in spring when they are so hungry and then in summer when everything is succulent and tasty. You might try fencing them out with wire mesh fence, or you might try the repellent sprays labeled for rabbits. You may also find that they move out when you begin grooming the yard because their habitat will become less inviting. Cleared brush, mowed lawn, and lack of hiding places are not attractive to rabbits so they tend to move on. Best wishes with your garden! |
