We just moved into a new home near Holden Beach NC. We have zoysia sod and an irrigation system. How often should the lawn be getting watered now and is there any fertilizer or other things I should be applying to ensure the grass gets established well? Thanks....Jerry

Zoysia turf needs 1/2 to 1 inch of water per week, depending upon weather. Set your sprinklers to run twice a week during the heat of summer and once a week in the spring and fall. Zoysia needs only one application of about a pound of nitrogen per 1000 square feet in the spring when it is turning green. Enjoy your landscape!
