|how to transplant a mango tree aburt 4 years old and about 7 feet high|
|It shouldn't be too hard to transplant your mango tree. First and foremost you need to prune your tree back to make it easier to handle. Leave about 3 or 4 branches. I realize this will be hard for you to do, but it is for the future health of the tree! |
Dig a trench around the trunk of the tree to cut off the surface spreading roots. Next use a crow bar/shovel/spade and work it into the soil from the trench to beneath the tree. Make sure to break the downward roots and free the soil ball.
Move the soil ball and tree into the hole. Give your tree some extra love and water, and it should establish itself in its new home.
