The tips on some of my tomato plant leaves are a brown color and they're dry. The rest of the leaves are healthy. Why is this happening? Also the leaves on some of my cucumber plants turned slightly white. What causes this?

Both problems are environmental/cultural and not anything to worry about. Over watering and under watering, sun scorch and nutrient deficiency can all cause the problems you describe on the leaves of your cucumbers and tomatoes. Water deeply then allow the top of the soil to dry out before watering again; feed your plants by side dressing with a 10-10-10 (if you haven't already); mulch around the plants with compost or other organic matter to both stop soil from splashing up onto the plants when you water and also to help slow water evaporation. As your plants grow and develop more foliage you can simply pinch off the affected leaves. Best wishes with your garden!
