We live in central Ohio and our back lawn, which is very wet in Spring, has become very uneven over several years. How can we level out the lawn without digging everything up? |
It will be relatively easy to fill in those low spots. Use sand or top soil and spread it over the low areas, adding only about an inch at a time and allowing the grass to grow up through it. Once it does, you can add another inch of topsoil or sand. Depending upon how low the spots are, you may only need to do this two or three times, being sure to allow the grass to grow up over the fill before spreading more topsoil. Eventually the lawn will be even and you'll have no low spots. Best wishes with your lawn! |
