|One of the safest weed control products is one that has a corn gluten meal base. Check the labels and look for an EPA logo and CGM as the main ingredient. There are several brands available and all will prominently display those terms. You can kill existing weeds with vinegar but it will also kill grass and nearby plants if accidentally sprayed on them so be careful with your spot treatments. You can purchase vinegar based products as spot weed killers in your local garden center. Best wishes with your lawn!
