Many years ago, a friend planted green onions that tasted more like garlic then onions, and I was told they were called Egyptian onions. Are you familar with them? Do you stock them or do you know where I can get them?

Egyptian onions, or Walking onions, are unique in that the bulbs remain in the ground from one year to the next, producing annual crops of onion bulbs on the endo the stalks. As the "Mother Bulb" grows bigger, the onion bulbs on top of stems increase in size and number. You can harvest all year without digging! Egyptian onions are available from Nichols Garden Nursery, 1190 N. Pacific Hwy. NE, Alban, OR 97321-4580. Phone (541) 928-9280
