What quarter of the moon is best for digging up small fruit
trees for transplanting.

Moon planting follows the idea that plants whose eaten or desired part is above ground should be planted in the waxing moon, or the period between the new moon and the full moon, so that is when you should transplant the fruit trees. If you wish to also consider the phase of the moon in terms of the zodiac, you would do best to dig and move the trees on a day governed by either Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces. In any case, do be sure to baby the trees a bit and ensure they recieve adequate water this summer!
