Kentucky bluegrass, tall fescues and creeping fescues are all good varieties for your growing region and all will take foot traffic so the choice is yours. You might want to use a grass seed mixture or blend available pre-packaged for best coverage. Your local garden center might even have customized mixes for your local area. It's worth a look. Best wishes with your lawn!
