If I see eggs underneath a veggie leaf, can I be fairly sure these are not the eggs of a beneficial insect?

There's really no way to tell if the eggs are from beneficial or destructive insects until after they hatch. Even entomolgists would have a hard time making that determination. I usually pick off any leaves with egg masses because in my garden the destructives outweigh the beneficials!
