|I started 6 different types of annual flower seeds 10 days ago. Most have sprouted but many are very weak and leggy. They were planted in seed pods with good soil. Have also placed them in window sun light and used compact flourscent light at night. Any suggestion as to what was done wrong or anything I can do to help???

|Your seedlings are leggy because they are not getting enough light. They should be under fluorescent lights for 14-16 hours a day. I use inexpensive hooded shop lights with two fluorescent bulbs - the kind you can hang from rafters. Lower the bulbs so they are only 2-3 inches above the tops of the seedlings, moving them up as the seedlings grow. Keep the lights on 14-16 hours a day and turn them off at night. With the right amount of light your seedlings with be stout and sturdy. Best wishes with your seedlings.
